You need materials that maintain consistent performance across 10–35°C—and that’s not a given with every cleaning cloth on the market.

Humidity is the other variable people forget. Chocolate production areas typically maintain 40–50% RH to prevent sugar bloom and fat bloom on finished products. But that humidity also affects wipe performance. Cellulose wipes absorb atmospheric moisture and become less effective at absorbing production residues.

Pro Tip: Test your wipes at both ends of your factory’s temperature range before committing. A wipe that passes your qualification tests at 22°C in the QA lab might fail at 12°C in the cooling tunnel. Run the same absorbency and shedding tests at your actual zone temperatures.

BRC and IFS Compliance for Cleaning Consumables
